DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIKARYOTIC AND DIPLOID CELLS
⇛ These two terms have very different meaning .
⇛ The term dikaryotic cell comes from the "DIKARYON" stage that is comes in the life of some class of fungi like ascomycetes and basidiomycetes .
⇛ This occurs in the sexual reproduction phase of these classes.
FIGURE OF DIKARYON ;-
NOW COME ON THE TERM "DIPLOID ";-
⇛This term is comes from the ploidy of cells. "NOw what is the mean of ploidy??
⇝Ploidy means how many sets of chromosome one organism has in the nucleus ,that constitute the genetic material of that organism.
⇝ If one organism has only one set of chromosome then it will be called "HAPLONTIC".
and if another organism has two set of chromosome then it will be called "DIPLONTIC".

NOW WE CAN EASILY CONCLUDE FROM HERE THAT WHAT IS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIKARYOTIC AND DIPLOID CELL.
