This process is occur in plants to produce microspore [pollen grain].
it occurs two stages
1.meiosis 1st
2. meiosis 2nd
Dna replication occurs only in meiosis 1st stage and Chromosome segregation occurs only in Anaphase of meiosis 2nd.
NOTE= Microspore mother cell is coverd up with a callose wall this wall breaks at the maturation of pollens.
This process occurs in animals to produce sperms.
Each primary spermatocyte give rise to 4 microgametes that are called sperms.
Actually spermatids are the products of second meiosis . After that spermatids get develop in sperms.
Qualities of sperm are given below↴
1. the outer wall of sperms is made up of a simple membrane.
2.the upper tip has lysosome that is called acrosome helps in to enter the ova .
3. it divded in three parts
→ Head
→Neck
→Middle part
→Tail
NOTE= middle part contains mitochindria in it that help in the movement of sperms with the help of the tail.
